4.Teacher praise Ss with ‘You’re helpful.’ and encourage them to use ‘I’m helpful. I can…’.教师不断用You’re helpful.来进行表扬,让学生对helpful不断在脑海加深印象,为后面学生自己说I’m helpful.作好铺垫。
二、Presentation(呈现新知)
1. T: You’re really helpful. And I know a boy and a girl are helpful, too. Let’s look and listen. Then please tell me what they can do. ( watch a short film)教师用录像短片引入新知。
2. After listening and watching, let Ss answer: What can the boy do?
What can the girl do?
3. Show the phrases we have to learn this class.
Let Ss discuss how to read them. (group work)(有些单词:sweep, the, floor, clean, bedroom, water, flowers以前都学过,因此,大部分短语的读音不成问题。)
4. Ask some groups to read the phrases.(教授短语中的新词是利用字母组合读音规则的方法。新词cook, meal的读音用book, tea/mea/meal来进行引导;empty和trash的读音用egg/bed, bag/fat来进行引导,教师指导学生学习新知。)
5. Use the word-cards. Let Ss read them and do actions together.
6. Game. T does actions, Ss say. Then change: T says, Ss do.
Listen to the music, and do the actions. 游戏环节能更好地巩固词汇。
7. Use the word-cards. T: What can you do?
Ss: I’m helpful. I can… .
Then Boys ask Girls or Girls ask Boys.
(Group work) Ask and answer each other.
三、Consolidation(任务拓展)
1. Teacher give Ss two topic to think and talk:
Suppose today is Mother’s Day, what can you do?/ Suppose today is our English teacher’s birthday, what can you do?
2. Ask some groups to show their dialogue.
3. watch the pictures of ‘ The Devine Boat No. 6’, and tell Ss if they study hard, they can do like the scientists in the future.在对学生进行“自信”思想教育时,又结合“神州六号”的回归丰富了学生的信息量。
4. Tell Boys and Girls: You are all helpful! We can do, and we can do the best!教师给予课堂评价,并再次说明主题:我们能行,我们能做到最好!
