Unit position: Students have learned the present continuous
tense to describe an action before. In this
period, they will continue to practise these
sentences. They can ask 鈥榃h-鈥� questions to
find out various kinds of specific information
about a person.

1. Sing a song 2. Write: supermarket on the board. Invite individual students to make a list of things that they can usually get in a supermarket on the board. Allow the less able students to draw the items. 1. Tell the students that Mrs Wang is buying a lot of things in a supermarket. Ask the students to look at the picture in Play a game. 2. Play the recording: Play a game. Students listen and follow in their books. 3. Play the recording again. Students listen and repeat. 4. Give the students two minutes to try to remember the things that Mrs Wang is buying. 5. Invite five students to come to the board. They play the game by using the dialogue in Play a game. Any student who fails to provide a new item, or repeats the item that the other students have already mentioned, will be out. 6. Students play the game in groups using different items.
