  内容分析:

  This lesson is the first lesson in Unit7.

  It’s also a main point in this lesson, which provides two examples for the target sentence constructions.

  It’s increases the students ability of listening , speaking, reading, writing by talking about the weather and reviewing the present progressive tense.

  学情分析:

  My object is the students of Grade7,this lesson is continue to talk about present progressive tense, they have learned it in last unit, so the sentence pattern is not difficult for them.

  They also know some words about weather,so they can express something in English.

  教学目标:

  Knowledge objects

  To learn the target words raining, windy, cloudy, sunny, snowing in this lesson.

  The target sentence construction in this lesson is: How is the weather? It is+adj./v-ing.

  What are you/is she/he doing? How is it going

  Ability objects

  To improve the students communication ability. Can use the target language to talk about weather.

  Moral objects

  To train the students to enjoy life, and develop their good character of helping each other.

  To learn about weather and make one’s activities adapt to the weather.

  教学重点:

  1、The vocabulary and useful expressions.

  2、—How’s the weather?

  —It's raining/ windy.

  3、—What are you doing?

  —I'm playing basketball.

  教学难点:

  To talk about the weather fluently by using their knowledge which they have learned.

  教学准备:

  视频、音频播放器

  教学过程:

  Step 1: Greeting and lead-in.

  Play a short video about weather report.

  Help Ss to guess what w will learn in this class. They will say it is about weather, at the same time, help them tell the words they know about weather.

  Present the new words about weather.

  Step 2 New vocabulary presentation.

  1. Show some pictures of the weather.

  Let Ss look at the pictures and ask them how the weather is.

  Ss learn the new words and expressions with the help of the pictures. I will ask the students to watch the new words, help them to find :if a noun add the letter “y”。 It will be adjective: sun-sunny; wind-windy;cloud-cloudy; rain---- Snow--- ( they are “rainy”and “snowy”)

  2. Look at the pictures in 1a. Then read the new words on the right. Ask the Ss to match the words with pictures.

  3. Check the answers.

  Step 3. Game (How's the weather?)

  1. Showing some cards about weather, Ask Ss "How's the weather?"

  2. Ss guess and answer the question.

  Step 4. Listening

  1. Now let's look at the city names in the box in 1b. Please read after me. Ss read the cities after the teacher.

  2. Now, We’ll hear four conversations. Listen carefully, point out each city in the picture as it comes upon the tape. Play the recording a second time. Ask Ss to write the name of the city in the picture of its weather.

  3. Check the answers.

  Step 5. Pair work

  This step helps arise Ss’ interest of this lesson.

  This step helps learn the new words This step can help students use the vocabulary of weather.

  Throughlistening to consolidate the konwledge.

  Imagine you are calling to your friends, they are in different cities, ask about the weather and what are the doing.

  Make a model with a student like this:

  T: Hi! Lily ,look, Ann is over there,what is she doing?

  S1: She is running.

  T : How's the weather in Beijing?

  S1: It is raining.

  Ss work in pairs. Ask and answer about the weather in the cities.

  Step 6 summary

  Review the present progressive and the vocabulary of weather.

  Step 7 Homework:

  Imagine you are calling to your friends, they are in different cities, ask about the weather and what are the doing.
