1. Sing a song 2. Use the Word and Picture Cards to review food vocabulary items. 1. Introduce: menu using realias. T: The Li family is in the restaurant. I鈥檒l give you two minutes to remember the food items in the menu in Read and act. 2. Invite individual students to come to the board and draw a food item in the menu. Encourage the more able students to write the words. 3. Draw a big menu on the board. Divide the menu into six parts: Meat and fish, Vegetables, Rice and noodles, Fruit, Desserts and Drinks. Introduce: sausages, carrots, cabbage, potatoes and desserts. 4. Invite the students to put all the food items on the board into the different groups. 5. Play the recording: Read and act. Students listen. 6. Students work in pairs to find out what food items their partner likes and does not like. 7. Play the recording: Look and read. Students listen. 8. Ask the students to read the two questions in About you. Ask them to write down all the food items they like and dislike. 1. T: What do Min and Mog like? What don鈥檛 they like? S: They like fish but they don鈥檛 like carrots. 2. Students work in pairs again to look at the answers of their partners in about you. Ask them to find out what they both like and dislike. 3.
