Unit position: Students have learned the simple present
tense to describe habitual actions and use
prepositions to indicate time. They know how
to ask 鈥榃h-鈥� questions to find out the time. In
this period, they will continue to practise
these sentences.

1. Sing a song 2. Use a big clock face to ask: T: What time do you get up? S: I get up at half past six. Invite the students to set the time after they have answer the teacher鈥檚 question. Divide the class into two groups. The groups take turns to ask and answer each other鈥檚 questions. Remind the students to set the time. 1. Play the recording: Do a survey. Students listen. 2. Ask the students to read the sentences in Read and write when they have completed their survey. 3. The group leaders confirm the information they have collected with the group members. 4. Draw a similar survey form on the board. Ask the group leaders to come to the board and write down the number of students in the appropriate boxes. 5. Add up the numbers provided by the different groups. 6. Find out when most of the students do the activities in the list. 7. Students work in groups to write a report.
