　　Teaching objectives:

　　1. The kids will practice and use the new vocabulary:

　　well, team, control, badly, really, catch, fantastic, goalkeeper.

　　2. Students will be able to understand the related verbal phrases:

　　play football, play basketball, control the ball, catch the ball.

　　3. Students will be able to understand the new dialogue and act it out.

　　4. Students will be able to use WELL in a sentence correctly to assess others.

　　5. Students should be able to brave to ask questions in English.

　　Teaching materials: flash cards, pictures, a football , tape recorder.

　　Teaching procedures:

　　Step One Warming up

　　1. Free talk

　　Talk to students friendly and try to ask them some simple queations:

　　What did you do on the Saturday? / Do you like sports? / Can you ... well?

　　Which sports star do you like best? / Do you want to be... ?

　　Flash cards will be used.

　　2. Leading in

　　Introduce Amy, Lingling, Sam by guessing the pictures on the blackboard.

　　T: Boys and girls , who are they?

　　S: They are Amy, Lingling and Sam.

　　T: Good. They are having an interesting conversation, do you want to know?
