涉及已故名人的动作根据需要可用多种不同的时态:
若侧重客观描述,且强调至今为止仍为客观事实者,通常都用一般在时。如:

对于引述已故名人的观点或所说过的话,若强调其客观性,也通常用一般现在时。如:
