Step 1 Warmer
1. Invite some students to stand in front of the classroom, and they are asked to do act out the things which they did yesterday and say out the sentences, such as:
S1: I washed my trousers.
S2: I cleaned my room.
S3: I finished my homework.
S4: I watched TV.
Then the teacher ask these questions, What did S1/ S2/S3/ S4 do yesterday?
Step 2 Presentation
1. The teacher show the head dressing of the people in Mr Smart鈥檚 family, and ask students to say their names.
2. Play the tape once, ask students to get to know what did the family member of Mr Smart do yesterday. At the same time, the students should circle the verbs in the text. Remind them to pay attention to the changes of the verbs.
3. Play the cassette again, this time ask the students to repeat after the cassette sentence by sentence, and try to remember the things they did yesterday.
4. Give them three minutes to practice by themselves. Then invite five students to come to the blackboard and put on the different head-dressings of the people. First introduced themselves, such as:
