　　1. Review the shapes learned in Student鈥檚 Book 3A by drawing a circle, a star, a square and a triangle on the board.

　　2. Introduce: rectangle, as an addition to the shapes students have learned.

　　Presentation

　　1. Ask and answer:

　　1) Have the students look at the picture in Ask and answer.

　　Invite students to list shapes that they can see in it.

　　2) Ask and answer:

　　How many stars (squares, triangles, rectangles, circles)?

　　3) Guess: How many stars?

　　2. Read and guess

　　1) Show some pictures on the board: ruler, bag, book, biscuit

　　Practise: What is it? It鈥檚 a鈥�

　　What shape is this? It鈥檚 a鈥�

　　2) Make a riddle:
