　　二、New Concept

　　1. ROLE-PLAY

　　T: Excuse me. I鈥檓 lost. Where is the library?

　　S1: Go straight/turn left/turn right.

　　S2: I can show you. Here it is.

　　2. DEMONSTRATE

　　Write I鈥檓 lost on the blackboard. Point to the words as you and the students say them a few times.

　　3. Play the audiotape for N1 as the students follow in their books.

　　Discuss the dialogue.

　　a. Where is Danny?

　　What is Danny looking for?

　　What is a map?

　　What does the man say?

　　4. ROLE-PLAY

　　T: Where is the Nan guan School?

　　S: (speak the way in Chinese)

　　T: (pretend to be confused) I don鈥檛 understand. Please speak slowly.

　　Write I don鈥檛 understand. Please speak slowly. On the blackboard. Say them a few times with the class. Prompt the students.

　　6. MAKE UP A DIALOGUE

　　Divide the class into groups. Help them to make up a dialogue. Ask the students to call out possible words and phrases as the teacher write them on the blackboard.
