  1. Look and read :

  2. Look and say: Boys and girls , take out your classroom objects and say like this:

  e.g. This is a/an 鈥

  It is big/red/smooth鈥

  I like it very much.

  3. Guessing game: Now I will ask one of you to say something about his classmates , the others guess.

  e.g. Who is he? He is 鈥

  4.T-P pair work

  T: Have you got a friend? P: Yes.

  T: Who is he ? P: He is Mark.

  T: Oh, his name is Mark.

  5. Review 鈥渉is name / her name鈥

  e.g. What鈥檚 his name? His name is Marl.

  What鈥檚 your sister鈥檚 name? Her name鈥檚 Kitty.

  Presentation

  1. Play the cassette: Look and say. Students listen and follow in their books .

  2. Play the cassette again. Students listen and repeat.

  3. Teacher shows the pictures of the text. Encourage the students to say something about them. And the students may add something about their imagination.

  4. Have students take out the photographs of their friends,get prepaired to say something about their friend. Students also can form groups to discuss them.

  5. Invite individual students and pairs of students tell the class about their friends.

  6. Have students look at the frame work provided in Think and write . Encourage students to circle the relevant words and provide necessary information. Ask students to use a pencil and write on their books.

  Consolidation

  1. Copy the text twice.

  2. Grammar Practice Book 4A page 20 could be used to practice and consolidate the oral and written language used in this section further.

  3. Write down something about your friends on the paper.

  4. Preview page 22.
