  教材内容分析:本课内容是小学四年级下册Unit 3 .Lesson 18 Are you short or tall?通过本课的学习,要求学生能掌握句型How tall are you ?和Are you tall or short ?鈥澋奶嵛屎突卮稹

  教学目标

  1、知识目标:掌握单词metre,了解形容词的比较级,正确问答句子鈥淗ow tall are you ?和Are you tall or short ?鈥

  2、 能力目标:能准确测量身高,能在实际生活中熟练运用句子进行问答,能准确表述自己及他人的身高。

  3、 情感、态度与价值观目标:通过小组合作实际测量,增强学生的合作意识,培养学生在实际生活中运用英语的能力。

  教学难点分析

  教学重点:四会掌握How tall are you? I'm ____metres tall.

  教学难点: 身高的表达方法,形容词比较级。.

  教学课时:一课时

  教学过程:

  Class Opening and Review

  a. Greeting

  b. Sing"How old are you?"

  c. Review the words:tall, short , metres, point second ,first ,feel by showing the word-cards.

  New Concept

  Step1: Learn sentences :How tall are you ?和Are you tall or short

  a. Lead-in

  T(Point a student ):What`s your name ? How old are you ?

  S1: My name is _______. I'm ____years old .

  T :(ask go on ) Are you tall or short ?

  S1 :I'm tall .(老师板书此句型学习,可以让学生把How old are you ?中的old 用tall替换 )

  T: How tall are you ?

  S1: I don't know .

  T:The teacher take out a ruler. Oh. You're 1.3 metres tall. (Write the sentences on the blackboard.) 鈥淧oint鈥, say it, please.

  b. Show some numbers: 4.1, 5.6, 3.4, 22.8, 38.46, 74.319, 0.8

  c.Show a ruler. 0.8metres 0.8m 1m

  d.Guess?Show some animals pictures What animal is it? It's very tall. How tall is it?

  e.Groups work

  What鈥檚 your name?

  How old are you?

  How tall are you?

  (设计思路: 在较为真实的情境中使用所学的语言,做到学以致用,并在活动中增强合作精神.)

  f. Ask and answer (check the result)

  Step 2: Learn 鈥渢aller鈥 and 鈥渟horter鈥

  a. 老师请一位高个子的同学到前面来,教师问:What鈥檚 his name? How tall is he? (经过回答和量出他的身高)同样再请一位低一点同学上前,老师问:What鈥檚 his name? How tall is he? 通过这两个同学身高的比较知道:ZhangPen is taller. MaMing is shorter.进一步学习taller than , shorter than 。为了便于理解,可以再选一组同学进行比较练习。

  b。 同桌之间进行练习。

  Step3: Listen and read the text .

  Ways: Listen to the tape , listen to the teacher ,boys read ,girls read

  Step4:Follow the audiotape, answer the question.

  1) How tall is Kim?

  2) How tall is Danny?

  3) Is Danny taller?

  Exercises:  Fill in the blanks.

  How ____ are you? I'm 1.2 metres tall.

  How tall ___ Kim? _____ is 1.3 metres tall.

  Tom is 1.1m tall. Jim is 1.4m tall. _____ is taller and ____ is shorter.

  Class closing :

  Sing"Goodbye"
