教学内容：
Say and act Using common expressions to introduce oneself.
教学目标：
1. 知识目标
1）To learn the new words: classmate, shoulder, knee, toe.
2） To learn the sentence: You can call me...
2. 能力目标
1）Using nouns to identify different parts of the body. e.g. shoulders
2） Using common expressions to introduce oneself. e.g. You can call me Kally.
3. 情感目标
To be friendly with your classmates.
重点难点：
1） Using nouns to identify different parts of the body.
2） Using common expressions to introduce oneself.
教学准备：
some masks, a cassette player.
Word and Picture Cards: different parts of the body.
教学过程：
一、Warming-up
1. Listen to a song.
2. Daily talk.
二、Revision
1. Show some cards and talk about: What does he/she do?
2. Play a game: Hide and seek
3. Introduce oneself.
三、Presentation
1. Show a mask.:
1） Who is coming? How does she introduce herself?
2） Listen to the tape and learn: You can call me鈥�
3） Let鈥焥 greet her, to elicit: Hello/Hi鈥Γ� Kally.
2. Try to introduce Alice Wang and Kitty Li.
3. Kally is our new classmate. What did Miss Fong say? Please listen to the tape. We have a new classmate.
4. Ask and answer. e.g. What鈥焥 the name of the new classmate?
5. Play the cassette again. Students listen and repeat.
6. Divide students into groups of four. Have students do the role-play in groups.
7. Invite groups of students to act in front of the class.
8. To encourage the students to draw a boy or a girl on the paper/board. Label different parts of the body. Introduce: head, shoulder, knees and toes with the help of the Word and Picture Cards. For more able students, review: eyes, nose, mouth and ears by asking them to label these parts.
四、Consolidation
1. Play a game with your students. Have students touch different parts of their body as you read aloud. For less able students, demonstrate the actions as well. Put all the Word and Picture Cards which show different parts of the body on the board. For more able students, ask them sometimes to touch one eye, sometimes touch both eyes, etc.
2. Have students close their books. Encourage students to recite the song by referring to the tasksheet they have just completed. They look at the pictures and sing according to the order of the pictures.
五、Homework
1. Distribute a copy of Photocopiable page14 to each student . Play the song again. Have students write in the order of different parts of the body mentioned in the song. Have them find out the parts of the body which have been mentioned most.
2. Recite the words and the dialogue.
