¡¡¡¡I. Pre-task preparation:

¡¡¡¡Divide students into groups. Put pictures of the firemen fighting against the fire, etc. on the group's desk and look at each other's pictures.

¡¡¡¡II. While-task procedure:

¡¡¡¡A Students stay in groups. Use the Word and Picture cards to introduce: a fireman, a policeman. Stick the cards on the board.

¡¡¡¡C students listen and follow in their books.

¡¡¡¡D Repeat, as it is the first time students have used telephone as a verb.

¡¡¡¡E Pairs of students point at the people in the picture on Student’s Book page 8 and then use the dialogue to ask and answer about people's jobs.

¡¡¡¡Write a new rhyme.

¡¡¡¡IV. Homework:

¡¡¡¡A read the text after the cassette.

¡¡¡¡B Copy the words.

¡¡¡¡Walk around the class and say: Look at the peopIe. Are they happy? Are they sad? Guide your students to come to the conclusion: Fires are bad.

¡¡¡¡A Ask students to find all the firemen and policemen in the pictures on the group's desk. Ask your students to pay attention to these people's uniforms.

¡¡¡¡B Introduce: firemen, policemen, ambulance men, policewomen. Write the words on the board. Draw one fireman on one side and three firemen on the other side of the board. Write: one fireman and three firemen under the relevant picture. Use a different colour chalk to write the 'e' between 'm' and 'n'.

¡¡¡¡C Play the cassette: Look and say (play the rhyme only).

¡¡¡¡D Introduce: telephone one one nine by using a telephone and pressing one, one, nine in front of the class.
