  教学目标:

  All the Ss can understand the meaning of the text and some of the students can even read it.

  教学重点:

  1.have—had go—went are—were speak—spoke is—was see—saw eat—ate like—liked

  2.lots and lots of be different from Chinese food in the street

  教学准备:

  Recorder, cassette,

  教学过程:

  一、Greetings.

  How are you today ?

  What's the weather like today ?

  What day is today ?

  What's the date today?

  Any news ?

  二、Revision.

  1.Sing a song “The Great Wall of China”

  2.Ask and answer.

  三、New teaching.

  First ,Listen to the tape and let the Ss guess the meaning of the text.

  Second,Let the Ss look at the book and read the text by themselves.

  Last ,Translate the text sentence by sentence. Let the Ss translate first,

  let the Ss pay attention to the key words and expressions.

  四、Homework

  Listen and read the text.

  Write the new words and expressions

  板书设计:

  have—had go—went are—were speak—spoke

  is—was see—saw eat—ate like—liked

  效果记录:

  We are talking about Chinatown in New York .

  All of the students like the topic. We need to state activities in past tense.

  It's a little bit hard for some students . Students need to practice more .
