  教学目标:

  知识目标

  1、学生能正确地听、说、读、写用单词about。

  2、学生能认读数词1---10000。

  3、能运用句型How far is it from---to----? It’s about ---kilometres / metres.在具体情景中简单运用。

  能力目标

  1、能从数字1数到数字10000。

  2、能够对两地的距离提出问题,并作出较准确的回答。

  情感目标

  1、通过创设情景,在情境中理解、学习、运用语言,激发学生学习英语的兴趣。

  2、开展学生喜欢的教学活动,使学生愿意参与课堂活动,并能在活动中大胆开口,主动交际。

  教学重点:

  1、整百、整千数的表述及about的用法。

  2、句型How far is it from---to----? It’s about--- kilometres / metres.

  教学难点:

  1、数字的拓展:例如8568、2369、75586等数词的表达。2、能准确运用所学句型进行简单交流。

  教具准备:

  课件、卡片。

  教学过程:

  一、Class Opening and Review.

  1. Greeting.

  T:Hello,boys and girls!How are you?

  2. Now let’s learn“Lesson 20 : How Far is Beijing?”Follow me.

  3. Class,today I’m very happy,because my friends “Numbers”come here.Let’s welcome them,ok!(one by one)

  4. My friend “Numbers”bring us a song. Do you want to hear it?

  You can sing with it.

  二、New Concepts.

  1. Lead into the numbers.

  T: Do you like this song? I like this song very much! In our life the number is very useful. Look,here are some numbers,can you read them?

  2. Learn the number“thousand”。

  (1)T: I have a new friend, would you like to see?出示thousand 千。

  (2)Read after me.

  (3)Quickly answer.

  (4)Can you say the numbers.

  (5)Try to say these numbers in your groups.

  3.Explain the word“about”。

  (1)Listen,class. I’m about 1.6 metres tall.

  Jenny is about 1.4 metres tall.

  Can you guess what it means?(about)

  (2)Practice.

  4.Learn“ How far is it from---to----? It’s about--- kilometres / metres.”

  (1)Do you remember “How far is it from Shijiazhuang toBeijing? ”

  It’s two hundred and seventy-eight kilometres.

  It’s about three hundred kilometres.

  (2)Practice.

  (3)Do you want to know Jenny and Li Ming are talking about?

  Let’s read after the tape.

  (4)Look at the questions,read together.

  (5) Read the text,then answer the questions.

  5.Practices.

  (1)Read the dialogue.

  A:Tomorrow is Saturday where do you want to go?

  B:I want to the park to fly kites.

  A:How far is it from your home to the park?

  B:It’s about one kilometres.

  A:How do you go there?

  B:I ride my bicycle.

  A:Let’s go there together.

  B:ok!

  (2)Make a dialogue in groups.

  (3)Who can show?

  三、Homework.

  Make a dialogue with “How far is it from…to…?

  It’s about…kilometres / metres.”
