  1. Pre-task Preparation

  Say a rhyme.Read the picture cards and take a box.

  2. While-task Procedure

  1) The teacher takes a box and says: I have a friend. It鈥檚 white. It likes to eat carrots. It鈥檚 lovely. Guess, what is it ?

  Elicit: friend

  Learn the new word. Follow the teacher.Is it white ? Is it little ?

  Learn: little

  Practice: Little

  Look at the ant / tadpole. Is it big or little ?

  T: I have a friend. She is little and white.

  What has she got ? Describe the rabbit.

  6)The teacher says a riddle. Guess, what is it?

  Ask: Who is she ? Elicit: She is a ...

  7) Practice reading the riddle twice with the students. They should point to each line as you say it. Walk around to see if they are able to follow the sequence correctly.

  3. Post-task activities

  A. Divide students into groups of three. Ask each group to choose one animal from the four pictures, i.e. horse, elephant, panda, tiger, and compose another riddle.

  B. Invite the groups to read their riddles to the class. The rest of the class guess what the animal is.

  Homework:

  A. Readout the P10.

  B. Describe the other animals for your parents.
