1.Pre-task Preparation
Quick response.Daily talk.Put on the blackboard some pictures of animals found on a farm and at a circus. Ask students to come up and circle the animals they would find at a circus.
2.While-task Procedure
Learn the new word: pandaSay 鈥淕uess the animal. It is fat. It is black and white. It likes to eat bamboo. What is it?鈥 Hold up show the picture card and slowly say the word panda . Students listen and repeat.

Practice with the new sentence. It is 鈥nd 鈥ut up the picture and word cards on the board in random order. Ask individual students to come up and rearrange them by putting the word cards below their corresponding picture cards, as shown in their student鈥檚 Books.
3. Post-task activities
Before the class, draw some animals鈥 faces onto paper. Tell students to get into groups and pretend they are at the circus. Members of the group take turns being the animals and the audience.Say the rhyme with own changes.Homework Listen to tape P9 again.Draw a part of some animals, ask someone to guess.
