　　一、教学目标

　　知识目标：

　　birds, eggs, flowers, How many 鈥� are there? There are 鈥灐�

　　能力目标：

　　Listen, read and write.

　　情感目标：

　　体会英语学习中的乐趣，乐于接触英语读物。

　　二、教学重难点：

　　consolidate the structures and vocabulary learned in this unit

　　三、教学过程：

　　Step 1 Warm-up

　　Let鈥檚 chant with music. （Page 35）

　　Step 2

　　Uncle Booky鈥檚 storytime

　　＊ Tell the children to open their books at page 36. Draw their attention to the picture. Explain that these pictures tell a story about numbers.

　　＊ Ask questions about the pictures. Have the children talk about the story.

　　＊ Play the tape. Tell the children listen to the story pointing to the matching picture.

　　＊ Encourage children to guess the meanings of unfamiliar words.

　　＊ Play the tape again. This time have the children touch the speaking character.

　　Step 3 Self-assessment

　　＊ In Activity 1, point to the pictures of the cats, ask, 鈥淗ow many cats are there?鈥� Elicit from the children the correct answer. Point to the word in front of the picture and ask which letter is missing. Then have different letter cases.

　　＊ In Activity 2, the children need to write the name of numbers by themselves. Have the children look at the picture carefully. Draw the attention to the first question on the right and ask, 鈥淗ow many bikes?鈥� Elicit the correct answer from the children. Then have them write out the name of number on the line below the question. Tell them to finish the other questions.
