外研社六上英语《The Great Wall》教学设计

  教学目标:

  1、知识目标

  a. 能够听、说、读、写本课生词postcard,more,thousand,kilometre, million,Mexico, Canada

  b.能够准确理解并且运用下列句子:Tell more ahout ... How long (big) is...? It’s…。

  2、能力目标 学生通过对单词的、句型的学习和操练,能够比较熟练地描述出身边事物的大致情况(如长度、大小、身高、颜色等)。

  3、情感目标 学生们通过英语学习,互相交流,能够逐渐形成竞争意识和合作精神。

  教学重点:

  1、 掌握本课所学的生词。

  2、 听、说并灵活运用句子tell me more about…

  How long is it? It’s…。 How big is it? It’s…

  教学过程:

  一、Warm-up

  (1)Sing a song. “Ten little fingers”

  (2)Let’s count the numbers together.

  二、Presentation

  (1) T: In the summer holiday, I went to visit my friend. He sent me something. Look!(show some postcard) Are they beautiful? What are they?

  S: They are card.

  T: Yes, they are postcard.(教学postcard) Are these postcards great?

  S: Yes, this postcard are great!

  T: Yes, they are. Look at this one. It’s a picture of the Great wall. Tell me more about the Great Wall.

  (talk about the postcards of The Changjiang River, Bejing, New York and so on)

  (2) text-- learning

  a.Look at your book and listen to the tape .

  b.listen again and find out the anwers

  Are these postcards great?

  How long is the Great wall?

  How big is New York?

  How big is Beijing?

  c.listen again and check together.

  三、Practice

  a. Read the dialogue in pairs

  b. play a guessing game.

  Show the pictures of activity 3 on the screen and a student back to the screen, then listen to the others’ description and guess. eg.

  Ss: It’s an animal.

  S1: Tell me more.

  Ss: It’s very big.

  S1: Tell me more. Is it…?

  四、consolidation.

  (1)Talk about the pictures in group.

  T: Boys and girl. Do you have your photos here? Now let’s talk about it.

  (2)Show time.

  五、Homework.

  a. Read the dialogue with your classmates.
