外研社六年级上册《Chinatown in America.》说课设计
教学目标:
1.目标语句:There is a Chinatown in New York.
There is Chinese dancing in Chinatown.
There are lots of Chinese shops and restaurants.
2.目标单词:Chinatown,
3.书写单词:fish, egg.
4.情感目标 :简单了解美国唐人街的情况,激发同学们的爱国主义热情。

会用There be 句型描述事物。

在什么情况下用“There be” 句型
教学过程:
一、 English Talent Show.
二、Review
Review the words: thousand, hundred, kilometers.
Review the phrases: six thousand seven hundred
Fourteen million people
Review the sentences: How long is the Great Wall?
How big is Beijing?
三、Leading to the text.
Beijing has got fourteen million people. New York has got eight million people. Beijing is bigger than New York. China has got much more people than America. Chinese people go to all over the world. When they live in a place together, this place is called “Chinatown”。 Do you want to know “Chinatown” in America? Let us go to Chinatown。
四、Presentation。
1. Learn to say the new words.
Chinatown 唐人街
Read and find “There is or There are ”
2. Learn to say the new sentences.
What did Lingling have for breakfast?
She had eggs and sausages.
What did Lingling have for lunch?
She had sandwiches.
What did Lingling have for dinner?
She had fish and chips.
3. Look, listen and learn.
Before starting, write the following words on the board: fish and chips, sandwiches, eggs and sausages.
Explain to the students what these foods mean. Tell them to choose one of these foods and write it on a piece of paper.
Now get the students to close their books. Tell them I am going to play the dialogue. If they hear their food, they should stand up and hold up their piece of paper with the word on it and repeat the word.
Now tell the students to open their books. Play the dialogue one sentence at a time. Have the students underline the three examples of English food.
Tell the students that I am going to call out one of the foods and they have to tell you if it is eaten for breakfast, lunch or dinner.
Tell the students “sausages” can be eaten at any meal.
“eggs” can be eaten in the evening as well. “sandwiches” are more likely to be eaten at lunch than at any other time.
Examples
T: Sausages and eggs.
Ss: Breakfast.
T: Sandwiches.
Ss: Lunch.
T: Fish and chips.
Ss: Dinner.
五、Practice.
Ask and answer about your food.
Look at the pictures, ask and answer in group.
六、Homework
talk about what you have for three meals.
