　　Teaching steps:

　　Step1 Warmer

　　a. Tell the students that you are going to mime some things that you like doing and they have to tell you what it is. Example

　　T: (mime swimming)

　　Ss: Swimming!

　　T: (mime reading)

　　Ss: Reading!

　　b. Repeat this activity by inviting volunteers to come up to the

　　front of the class and mime some actions while the class guesses.

　　c. Then, introduce the target language in the following way.

　　Example

　　T: (mime swimming, then writes on board: ‘I like swimming.’) I

　　like swimming.

　　Ss: I like swimming.

　　d. Repeat this exercise with other activities.

　　Step2 Look, listen and say.

　　a. Get four large piece of paper.

　　b. Draw the following things on the paper. 1 bike, 3 books, 2 dolls and 2 kites.

　　c. Tell them that you are going to play the tape and they have to listen.

　　d. If the students hear any of the words in the dialogue, they have to point at them.

　　Step3 Listen and say, then chant

　　Get the students to do different mimes for each of the activities.

　　Step4 Game: Ask and answer.
