  Describing the animals by using the adjectives long,short,tall,cute, and scary.

  Focus:

  That snake is long.The giraffe is tall.The red snake is short.The lion is scary.The pig is cute.

  Aids:

  Pictures and cards.

  Teaching Procedure

  1.Warmer.

  Show three pictures of different apples.One is tall.One is long.One is short.On the back,here are the words long,tall,and short.

  T:Are they different?

  S:Yes.

  T:One is tall.One is short.One is long.

  Stick them on the board.

  2.New lesson.

  Teach the new words.Read after teacher.Invite individual one to read.

  A.T:What is long?

  S: ... is long.(Arouse students to offer some examples to practise the

  new words.)

  T:(Show the picture of a long snake.)What's this?It's a snake.The snake is long.(Stick it under long.Have students read after teacher.)

  B.T:Who is tall in our class?

  S: ... is tall.

  Have two students to come to the front to see who is tall.(This way makes students feel more intersted.)

  T:(Show the picture of a giraffe.)What's this?It's a giraffe.Is it tall?
