单元介绍
本节课的教学内容以旅游购物的主题为主线,展示了一群美国小朋友来上海参观时所接触到的上海的旅游景点和上海的传统文化,学生通过对话、问答、 邮件、 语篇等活动来了解上海、中国等地的著名旅游景点及旅游特色,提高英语听说读写的综合能力,充分体会到英语学习是与生活实际密不可分的。教材通过Wonderland中的词汇、Farmland中的句型、Grand Theatre中的语篇的教学主题,让学生学习与上海的旅游景点、购物等语言知识。通过引导学生谈论景点来培养他们使用英语进行表达和交流的能力。
本课的词汇基本上是首次出现,学生对于这些词汇比较陌生,本单元教学时重在对于这些词汇的朗读和理解。最终教材通过阅读Holidays in Shanghai来综合理解所学的内容。教学过程中适当拓展旅游方面的知识,对于教学内容作了适当的调整,增加一些国内或国外知名景点的阅读,了解这些地区的文化,激发学生对于旅游文化的兴趣。
本单元两个重点:一是主要短语的解读,一般过去时的句子结构的进一步了解和强化。二是利用所学的内容介绍一些熟悉的景点。
对于本课的语法一般过去时的句子结构在Book5A中对已有了一定的理解,在本课的Farmland教学时也作了比较多的操练,对于这种结构学生已经掌握。对于上海的景点描述,在Wonderland 教学中拓展一些,另外,学生课外通过网上查阅等各种形式了解了更多的关于上海的景点的知识。
根据教材的特点,和学生的知识掌握情况,本单元把对景点的描述,培养学生口语表达能力作为重点教学,以景点介绍为载体,加以学习和操练。

通过情境的创设,逐步培养学生的英语思维和口头表达能力。引导学生在逐步完成由浅入深的教学任务中,体会到学习成功带来的喜悦,进一步保持学生学习英语的兴趣。
通过伙伴之间的讨论,培养学生的合作能力,语言表达能力。并在语言材料的阅读和理解中激发学生热爱家乡的情感。设置能为学生提供说话的场景,拓宽学习的范围,为学生提供丰富的语言交际的机会。将说话和阅读融合起来,培养学生的综合能力
单元教学目标
学习并理解掌握wonderland中的单词、有关景点的词汇、短语和句型。
掌握上述单词的语音、词义及在语境中的使用。
熟练掌握一般过去时的句型结构和功能。
能熟练表达pair work 中的小对话,及能快速回答 on your own 中的问题。
了解一些著名的景点文化,能用所学的知识描述这些著名的景点。
能比较熟练地根据不同的地方进行有效的问答。
