  1.Lead in

  Step one:

  Greeting.

  Step two:

  Sing a song 鈥淚 love my family鈥.

  Step three: Asking questions

  The teacher tells the students:

  Li Ming misses his parents and he wants to share his experience in Beijing with his parents.

  2.Start new lesson

  Step one:

  (1)The teacher plays the audiotape.

  (2)The students ask questions about the text.

  (3)The teacher summarizes the questions and focuses on the problems the students have in common.

  Step two: Teaching envelope

  (1)The teacher shows the students the pictures of the envelope, asking 鈥淲hat鈥檚 this?鈥

  (2)The teacher shows the students different types of envelopes.

  (3)The teacher reads the word and the students follow.

  (4)The teacher asks the students to draw an envelope and write the word.

  (5)The teacher asks the students to compare the differences between Chinese letter and English letter.

  Step three: Teaching different parts of the envelope

  (1)The teacher asks one student to draw a big envelope on the blackboard.

  (2)The teacher asks the following questions:

  What鈥檚 the name of this part?

  Is this left or right?

  (3)The teacher repeats the parts of the envelope.

  Step four: Practice

  (1)The teacher asks the students to write the words 鈥渓eft, right, top and bottom鈥 on the envelope.

  (2)The teacher review the parts 鈥渓eft, right, top and bottom鈥 with pictures. The teacher asks 鈥淲hat鈥檚 this part?鈥 and the students answer.

  Step five: Teaching part 2

  (1)The teacher asks the following question:

  What do we need to put here?(Pointing the right top corner)

  (2)The students answer.

  (3)The teacher says 鈥淵es, we need a stamp鈥 and repeat the word 鈥渟tamp鈥.

  (4)The teacher asks the question:

  Where can we buy a stamp?

  (5)The students give the answer.

  (6)The teacher plays the audiotape and the students follow.

  Step six: Practice

  (1)The students do role play.

  (2)The students make up dialogue and act it.

  (3)The students play the game 鈥淎sking the way鈥

  Step seven: Summary

  The teacher and students recall the keys points in brief.

  Step eight:

  Homework.

  3.Interesting games

  (1)Where is the post office?

  教师让学生以小组为单位,模仿第二部分的对话编写新的对话并进行表演。教师选出最佳合作小组和最佳表演个人,并给获奖的小组和个人颁发奖品。

  (2)Asking the way

  教师把学生分成几个小组,让各小组派代表进行抽签,签上写着一个地点,学生需要围绕签上的地址,编写对话, 然后进行表演。教师选出创意和表演最好的小组。

  1.The teach checks the students鈥 usage of language by letting them play interesting little games.

  2.The teacher let students take part in assessment by putting their judgment into account and let them comment on each other.

  3.The teacher lets the students do exercise to check their mastery of language.
