Write the following words on the board.
CDs cassettes photocopier boods newspapers and magazines computers
Teach any unfamiliar vocabulary, check the students’understanding by having the students ask you, ‘how do you say…in Chinese?
Now explain that the words on the board represent some items found in a library.
Examples:
T:newspaper.
Ss:true.
T: clothes.
Ss:False.

Show you library card, please.
Please stand in line.
Don’t eat in the library,please.
Don’t drink here,please.
Please be quiet !
Tell the students to close their books, tell them you are going to play the tape twice and they have to tell you which library rules they hear.

Write this rule in the board, please speak English during engish lessons.
Ask the students where and when they should observe this rule.
Have the students work in pairs and try to think of additional rules that should be observed during an English lesson, on completion,have each pair read one of their ruses.
