  When is your birthday?

  My birthday is in February. Is your birthday in February, too?

  No, my birthday is in December. What about you, Zhang Peng?

  My birthday is in October.

  教材分析与设计思想:

  本单元是学生很感兴趣的生日话题,前一课已经学过月份单词以及一些问生日在哪一月份的句型:When is your birthday? My birthday is in February.

  PEP教材话题教材的特点是:以话题为纲,以语言结构和焦急功能为主线,逐步引导学生运用英语完成有意义的语言任务,即:话题鈥斺斀患殊斺斀峁光斺斎挝瘛

  本课时先对学生进行月份的听写复习,再呈现话题教学内容,最后学生完成有意义的交际任务,那就是同学之间互问生日的月份。

  本设计的思想是以生日为话题,以鈥淲hen is your birthday?鈥濃淢y birthday is in 鈥︹︹澓外淚s your birthday in October?鈥澪飨撸杓魄榫埃ü⑺怠⒍痢⑿矗槊媪废啊⑷挝裆柚谩⒂蜗芳とぃ鞑榧盎惚ǎ稚杓频鹊确绞街鸩揭佳褂糜⒂锿瓿墒导式患实挠镅匀挝瘛

  学生分析:

  学生对于生日party特别感兴趣,尤其是对于自己身边熟悉的同学特别有询问的欲望,而且在此话下容易接受新知。所以本课适合结合学生所熟悉的交际任务开展活动,引起学生兴趣,逐步参与到教学活动中来。

  S1:(问Mike)When is your birthday?

  S2:(问Sarah)When is your birthday?

  学生回答,也对老师问好,并对老师的着装感兴趣,表现出想继续参与的热情。通过老师神情和动作的引导,学生知道要用句子问他们的生日在哪一月份。

  学生通过自己询问得知今天生日的是谁,通过开火车,复习旧知识,充分热身并做好进入新课的准备。

  Zoom和Zip在庆生,场面热烈。突然Zoom的妈妈近来问Zoom:鈥淲hen is your birthday?鈥濃︹υ词荶oom记错了自己的生日。

  1、 学生边听故事,边跟着老师讲一些学过的单词和句子。

  2、 学生跟着复述故事。

  3、 学生分角色复述故事。

  学生对故事很感兴趣,而且故事的结果出乎意料,吸引学生注意力,引起他们的兴趣。
