Lesson Plan (4) : Disneyland
I. Pre-task preparation:
1. The students listen to the rhyme and repeat.
2. Ask the students to talk about their birthday last year.
II. While-task procedure:
1. Review and compare two tenses: present progressive tense and future tense.
2. Pair work
Survey: Whose birthday is in this month?
3. The teacher talks about their birthday with the students.
(1) Happy birthday to you . Will you have a birthday party?
(2) Will you please come to my birthday party?=Would you like to come…..
(3) What time will you have your birthday party?
(4) Where will you have your birthday party?
4. Play the cassette: Pair work on Page 13. Students listen and follow.
5. Play the cassette again. Students listen and repeat.
6. Give some pairs of students a few minutes to practice the dialogue.
7. Ask them to practice acting out the dialogue. Encourage the students make a similar dialogue. (offer: New year’s day , Children’s Day…)
8. Invite some groups to act out the dialogue in the front of the class.
