  Title:Unit 6 Happy birthday

  Teaching Aims: Aim Ⅰ:Review [ the numbers and the sentence patterns we have learned in last period;]

  Aim Ⅱ: Learn and enable to master the new vocabulary;

  Aim Ⅲ:Develop students’ abilities for reading and listening and try to enlarge their vocabulary;

  Focus: (Ⅰ) review;

  (Ⅱ) the vocabulary;

  Teaching aids: word cards,video/ tape;

  Teaching process

  Ⅰ: Warming up

  1. T: Hello-hello-how are you?

  Ss:Hi-hi-I’m fine. And you?

  T: I’m fine too, thank you.

  2. Sing a song: One two three……[change the lyrics to six, seven, eight nine……]

  Ⅱ: Review

  1. Teacher only shows the word cards with letters but no pictures;

  Example: F –f-f-frog; [T shows the letters, Ss read out and do the actions]. Go on with other words that have been learnt in last period;

  2. Show the vedio.

  [First] T: What’s this?

  Ss: It’s a book.

  T: How many books?

  Ss:……

  [Second] Have Ss do as the teacher did;

  S1: Hello, S2’s name, how many boys?

  ……….

  Ⅲ: New lesson

  1. T: [ continue with the steps above] But there are many other things, do you want to know them?
