1. Learn to describe things with adjectives.
2. Learn the sentences: This computer is beautiful. It’s purple. It’s small. And it’s cheap.
3. Learn the new words: difficult, expensive, perfect, cheap, powerful

Teaching steps:
I. Warmer
Sing a song: At the factory.
T: Do you like singing songs? I don’t like singing. But I like listening to songs. How about you? What do you use to listen to songs?
Ss: MP3, MP4, radio, recorder, TV, CD player, DVD player, computer, mobile phone
T: I listen to music on a computer. What other things can you do on a computer?
Ss: Listen to music, watch TV play, play computer games, do my homework, draw pictures, look on internet, read books, read news, play chess, talk to friends, send emails, write a blog, speculate in stocks
(作为导入部分,歌曲能够很好地调动学生的积极性,营造出英语学习的氛围。借助歌曲我们进入自由交流的话题,讨论我们能够用电脑做的事情,既为本课的学习奠定基础又能与实际生活联系,突出英语的实用性)
II. Drills
T: A computer is very useful. Sam and Amy also want to buy a new computer. They are in a computer market now. Let’s help them to choose a good computer.
Show Slide 1: Describe the three computers in your group. Choose the best computer for Sam and Amy. (Give some clues.)

III. Text
Sam will like Computer B, Amy will like Computer A. How about Mr and Mrs Smart? Which computer will they choose? Let’s have a look.
Watch CD-ROM. Answer the question: Which computer do they choose?
Explain: difficult- not easy, screen—This is a screen. Perfect—wonderful, excellent
Listen again and repeat.
Read it after teacher.
Read the text in roles and circle the adjectives.
Have a check. Ask two groups stand up and read the text.

(本部分是课文的主体,通过听、讲、读、练,突破课文难点,其中练习朗读这个环节交给小组内自行解决,通过分角色表演能够锻炼每个学生的积极性。)
IV. Exercises
Can you do Exercise 3 in pairs?

Homework:
Try to describe your stationery/school/friend with adjectives.
教学反思:
热身环节气氛很好,接下来的两个提问环节气氛冷了下来,也许这两个问题太难。另外一个原因是加分评价在这里效果不好,影响了老师的板书,分散了学生的注意力。
讨论电脑环节学生也没能够讨论起来,一是有些难,二是或许把这个环节调到学了课文之后,作为理解课文内容让学生来填这个表格更好一些。
因为前面进的较快,在读课文环节我加进了划重读单词,这对于学生的朗读或许有帮助。
后来因为我不紧张了,学生的气氛也和缓了许多,说出非常多的形容词,应该说我们是在比较快乐的气氛中结束课的。
