Step1. Warm up:
T: Class begins!Morning! Boys and girls!
S: Morning ,teacher!
T: What day is it today?
S: It‘s / Today is…
T: What do you do on weekend?
S: I do my homework.
T: Do you have much homework?
S: Yes, we do.
T: Do you have enough time to do it?
S: Sometimes we do, sometimes we don‘t.
Step 2. Review
1. Have the children open to the story pages of this Unit. Tell them they are now Mocky. Explain that you are going to play the tape and you want them repeat what Mocky said.
2. Play the tape. Have the children repeat what Mocky said after the tape.
Step 3. Listen to this
1. Direct the children‘s attention to the pictures and watches at the bottom of the page. Point to the first picture and ask, ―What is Ken doing?” If necessary, have the children refer to the vocabulary at the top of the page for their answer. Elicit, “He is playing football.“
2. Repeat this procedure for the other pictures .
3. Explain to the children that they will hear a sentence on the tape and they must match it to the correct picture.
4. Play the tape, stopping after each sentence. Have the children touch the corresponding picture. Make sure that they are all touching the correct picture before you continue.
5. Play the tape again, stopping after each sentence. Explain that this time you want the children to number the pictures according to their order on the tape.
6. Review the sentences in a class drill.
Step 4. Let‘s Sing
1. This song can be used as a selection procedure to decide which child has first turn in a game, or to form pairs. (The first two children chosen form a pair. Continue until all the children are in pairs.)
2. Play the tape once without stopping and have the children listen. Encourage them to clap in time to the music.
3.Play the tape again and have the children practice singing the song a few words at a time. Make sure they use the correct stress pattern.
4. Have the children all sing the song without stopping.
Step 5. Talk together
1. Have the children turn to page 4
2. Draw their attention to the amusement park on top of the page. Show your copy of the page. Ask the children what they think Mocky is thinking about. Ask, ―Where do you think Mocky wants to go?” Try to elicit to the amusement park.
3. Point to the first dialog. Tell the children that it is a dialog between Mocky and Ken.
4. Point to the first sentence. See if the children can read the sentence without your help. Now read the words together.
5.Repeat the procedure for the remaining sentences in the first dialog.
6.Divide the class into two groups. One group is Mocky, and the other group is Ken. Have them repeat the dialog.
7.Repeat the procedure for the second dialog.
8. Put the children into pairs to practice the two dialogs. Encourage them to substitute different suggestions for Let‘s go to ( the park )。 They can use the examples given in Words to learn. Also have the children substitute different times for three o‘clock and different amounts of money for seven yuan.
Step 6. Listen and number
1. Have the children open their books at page 4
2. Show your copy of the page. Point to the first picture and have the children tell you what they can see.
3. Repeat this procedure for the other pictures.
4. Play the first sentence, then stop the tape. Have the children point to the matching picture.
5. Repeat this procedure for the other sentences.
6. Play the tape again, stopping after each sentence.
Explain that this time the children need to write the correct sentence number into the matching picture.
