  How long is the Great Wall? It鈥檚 ten thousand li long. How old is the Gteat Wall? It鈥檚 more than two thousand years old

  Be able to talk about the experiences through talking about the other things..

  教学过程:

  一、Warm up

  Explain the rules about learning English of this term.

  二、Review

  Review the base sentences that they have learned and concern with the new knowledge:

  Show some pictures , 鈥淪tonehenge, Big Ben, London Eye鈥

  Have the Ss answer these questions:

  A. Where is it?

  How old is 鈥

  三、 Presentation

  1) Let鈥檚 look at this picture, where is it? Yes, it鈥檚 the Great Wall. What do you know about the Great Wall?

  2) Today we will learn M1 U1, there is a new friend in this dialog. Look at this picture, this is Simon. (read the name together) let鈥檚 watch the video, pay attention, 鈥淲hat are they talking about?鈥 (Present the question on the screen) have the Ss watch the video and answer the question.

  They are talking about the Great Wall.

  3) Let鈥檚 watch the first part, pay attention, 鈥淲ho wants to go to the Great Wall? Whose home is near to the Great Wall?鈥潱≒ay attention to 鈥榳ho, whose鈥櫍 (Present the questions on the screen) have the Ss watch the video and answer the questions.

  Simon wants to go to the Great Wall.

  Daming鈥檚 home is near to the Great Wall.

  4) Now let鈥檚 watch the first part again. Pay attention, 鈥 Can we walk all of the Great Wall? Why鈥 (Present the questions on the screen) have the Ss watch the video and answer the questions.

  No, we can鈥檛. Because it鈥檚 too long.

  5) Now let鈥檚 watch next part. Pay attention to these two questions. 鈥 How long is the Great Wall? How old is it?鈥 ( show the questions on the screen) have the Ss watch the video and answer the questions.

  It鈥檚 ten thousand li long. \ It鈥檚 five thousand kilometers.

  It is more than two thousand years old.

  6) The Great Wall is two thousand years old. Then how old is the moon? (Have the Ss guess and then watch the second part again.)

  It's millions of years old.

  四、Practise

  1) Listen and point.

  2) Listen , point and find 鈥淗ow long is鈥Γ库潯

  3) Listen , point and repeat.

  4) Read the dialog in roles.

  五、Homework

  1. Listen , point and repeat activity twice.

  2. Write each words for five times.

  3. Copy and translate activity 1.
