  教学目标:

  1、 Learn new words “special, hear, nearly, together”。

  2、 Master the sentence pattern “Can you tell me about American festivals?” and “Thanksgiving is my favourite festival. ” Let them ask and answer.

  3、 Enable to describe the customs of Thanksgiving and other festivals. Let the students know that they should say “Thank you” to those people who helps them.

  教学重点:

  1. Bring up a question, then ask and answer.

  2. Describe their favourite festival.

  Wordcards, some pictures of festivals, tape

  教学目标:

  一、Warming-up

  1. Have a greeting.

  2. We celebrated the Mid-Autumn Day during the last week.(出示中秋图片)

  The Mid-Autumn Day is a special day.(教授新词)

  Do you know other special day? (用…is a special day造句)

  We know the Mid-Autumn Day is a special day. Because the moon is nearly round on the Mid-Autumn Day. (教授新词)

  3. Can you tell me about the Mid-Autumn Day?

  When is it? (It’s in August.)

  What did you eat? (I ate fruits, moon cakes, sweets, )

  二、Presentation

  T: So many things you did and so many things you ate.

  Mid-Autumn Day has gone. But the Mid-Autumn Day comes every year. There is something I can say.

  Mid-Autumn Day is my favorite day.

  Now I'll give you another poem. Do you want to hear it? And then tell me what festival it is.

  Thanksgiving is nearly here.

  Thanksgiving comes every year.

  There is something I can say.

  Thanksgiving is my favorite day.

  三、New teaching

  1. "Can you tell me about American festivals?"(板书) after you listen to tape.

  2. " When you listen to the tape, you will hear four questions."

  Repeat and find out the answers.

  3.Listen to the tape once more and find your anwers.

  A: Can you tell me about American festivals?

  B: My favourite is Thanksgiving.(板书让学生说他们最喜欢节日

  A: When is it?

  B: It’s in November.

  A: And what happens?

  B: Families are together. We have a big special dinner. (板书)

  A: Do you want to hear it?

  B: Yes, please.

  四、Consolidation

  1. Read after the tape, then finish SB Unit1 Practice 2 Listen and tick.

  2. SB Unit 1 Practice 3 Look and answer.

  3.根据课堂用书练习3写一个作文,Introduce your favourite festival. 作文展示。

  4. What have we learnt today?

  五、Homework

  1. Finish your passage.

  2. Recite words and Target Languages.
