2. Play Ss into four groups and give them the roles of Jenny, Gogo, Ben and Lisa . Encourage groups to add voice expressions and actions.

1. T: Listen to the tape and repeat. Point to each word as you say it.

3. Play the tape again, and have Ss repeat each word.

Step Three. Read and say.
Play the tape a few times, pausing after each sentence for Ss to repeat. Put Ss into pairs and have them practice saying the dialog to each other. Step Four. Practice

Ask four Ss to read questions A—D aloud.
2. Using the book
Have Ss look at the pictures for A. T: ( Point to the first picture.) ( S1’s name), please answer. [S1: He was singing.] Contnue with the other three pictures. T: Let’s listen to the tape. Play the tape for A, then pause. T: Put a checkmark in the box.( S2’s name), what was he doing? [S2: He was digging.] Repeat the procedures with the other three questions.
