  设计意图:复习本单元中的短语和before、after这一对反义词,锻炼学生的口头表达能力和思维组织能力。

  StepⅣ Chant

  T: So great! Now I’m a little tired. Let’s have a chant to take a break. First listen to me.

  The students listen to the teacher.

  T: And now read follow me.

  The students read following the teacher.

  T: Now give you one minute to read this chant by yourselves about three times. And then answer my questions quickly, understand?

  Ss: Yes!

  The students read.

  T: The first question: How many hours make a day?

  S1: Twenty-four hours make a day.

  T: How many months make a year?

  S2: Twelve months make a year.

  …

  设计意图:这个chant把所学过的秒、分钟、小时等时间的进位关系编了进去,朗朗上口,帮助学生记忆,为后面的填空做了铺垫。

  T: You are so clever! Now I have some problems. They are so hard for me. Can you help me?

  Ss: Yes!

  T: Can you fill in the blanks? 30 seconds to think.

  Then find some volunteers to say the sentences.

  设计意图:使上面一项内容的延续,不仅仅让学生知道连续的时间进位,还要知道跳跃性的进位,也是这一项知识的扩展。
