  T: Which word contains the sound [w]?( watch and window)

  Ss: [w], choose A

  T: Which word contains the sound [x] ? ( box and exercise)

  Ss:[ks], choose B

  [评: 通过复习字母V,W,X的发音以及有关这些字母的单词,过渡到新课学习W的发音和单词,便顺理成章。]

  Step 2 Presentation

  1.Students read after the tape.

  Have the Ss read the words (window, walk , week ,wolf , water and worm) after the tape , then find out the sound [w].

  T: Can you read these words?

  Ss: Yes.

  T: Who wants to read them?

  S: …

  T: Can you find the sound [w]?

  S: [w]

  (The students read the words and find out the sounds of the first letter of these words. [w] )

  T: Now look at my mouth. Read after me.[ w ]

  Ss: [w]

  [评:教师以旧单词引入,让学生通过读,发现“W”在这些单词中的发音规律,然后再学习其他含有[W]的新单词。]

  2. Show the picture of a wolf, then ask and answer

  T : What’s this? It’s a wolf. [w], [w], wolf.
