　　Ben and Jim often go home together after school.本和杰姆在放学后常常一起回家。我们常用together 来表示“一同”做某事。如：sing together 一起唱，read together 一起读，play football together 一起踢足球。我们还可以同together with 表示“与某人一同”做某事。如： Ben often goes home together with Jim after school. 本和杰姆在放学后常常一起回家。 1. What date is it today? 今天是几月几号？

　　1）.这句话还可以问：What’s the date today? 它的回答可以是：It’s the sixth of October. 也可以是：It’s October the sixth.

　　2). 在英语中表达“第几”的时候，我们用序数词。使用序数词时，我们通常在它面前加上the. 如：the first, the second 。 序数词有三种构成形式： ① 直接在基数词词尾加上th。如：seventh第七，tenth 第十，thirteenth 第十三，one hundredth 第一百。 ②以y结尾的基数词，变y为i，再加上eth。如：twentieth 第二十，fortieth 第四十。 ③还有些序数词是不规则变化的。如：first 第一, second 第二， third 第三，fifth 第五， eighth 第八，ninth 第九，twelfth 第十二，twenty-first 第二十一。

　　3．It’s on the 18th of October. 在10月18日。 在表示具体某一天时，我们常用介词on 。如：on Sunday(s) 在周日，on Friday morning/afternoon/evening 在周五的上午/下午/晚上，on holidays 在假日中。但我们用at the weekends 来表示“在周末”。

　　4．Would you like to come to my birthday party? 你愿意来我的生日聚会吗？ Would you like…? 是一种比较有礼貌的询问。它的后面可以直接跟名词，也可以跟to加上动词。如： Would you like a cup of coffee or tea? 你想要喝咖啡还是茶？在回答这个问题的时候我们可以说：I’d like a cup of tea. 我想喝点茶。No, thanks. 谢谢，不需要了。 Would you like to go there with us? 你愿意和我们一起去那儿吗？ Yes , I’d like to. 是的，我想去。Sorry, I’d like to, but I’ve got much work to do. 对不起，我很想去，但是我有很多工作要做。 What would you like …? （你想要做什么？）这句话可以用来询问对方的意见。回答同样用I’d like (to) … 来表示。

　　5．What would you like as a birthday present? 你想要什么作为生日礼物？ as 意为“当作，作为”。如： They all look Miss Li as their mother. 他们把李老师当作他们的妈妈。

　　6．Take a piece of paper. 拿出一张纸。 paper 意为“纸”时是不可数名词。在表示不可数名词的数量时，我们通常用表示数量的of 词组来表达。如：a bowl of rice 一碗米饭，two bowls of soup 两碗汤，three cups of tea 三杯茶，four pieces of bread 四片面包，five pairs of trousers 五条长裤，six glasses of water六杯水，seven pieces of paper 七页纸。
