Teaching aims:
I’ve got lots of stamps.
These are some stamps from Canada.
This stamp is from China.
Teaching steps:
Step1 Warmer
a. Revise singulars and plurals with students.
b. Then introduce the target vocabulary and language structure to
the students.
c. Repeat the activity with the other objects.
Step2 Listen, point and find ‘stamp/stamps’.
a. Divide them into two groups. One group is ‘This’ and the other group is ‘These’.
b. Now tell them that you are going to play the recording of the
dialogue and they have to listen carefully.
c. If they hear either ‘This’ or ‘these’, the correct group has to
stand up and shout ‘Stop!’
Step3 Talk about these stamps.
a. Before the lesson, collect some stamps from various countries.
b. Choose stamps with distinct pictures of objects on them.
Example
T: (holds up a picture of a stamp with a queen on it and points to the stamp) A queen.
Ss: A queen.
T: (writes the word ‘queen’ on the board)
c. Repeat the activity with the other target objects.

Step2 Now correct the false statements.
