  Look at the pictures on the story book.

  Questions: What do you think Jenny feels today?

  Why?

  Who do you think will come to Jenny’s birthday party?

  能力。同时学生之间大量的交互活动,男女同学之间

  (2)小组讨论: Read the story

  Play the audiotape of “Jenny’s Birthday”

  as the students read along with the pictures.

  Discuss the story

  Divide the students into small groups (<5 children), show some questions for discussion.

  Questions: How does Jenny Smith feel today?

  Do Jenny’s family and friends give her presents?

  What are they?

  How old is Jenny?

  What are they doing?

  What is Danny doing?

  What does Danny want to do?

  T: Do you have any other questions? (让学生提出更多的问题,大家共同解决,培养学生发现问

  题,自己解决问题的能力。)

  作业安排:

  练习对话What’s he/she doing?

  What are they doing?

  Girls answer the questions:

  He/She is ___ing.

  They are ____ing.

  设计意图:巩固新知并能通过下节课的作业展示提高学生学习的积极性和自主拓展知识的能力。
