  教材分析:

  本课是New Standard English(一年级起点)第十一册Module9Unit1 Do you want to visit the UN building?第一课时。课文主要内容是Simon向大明介绍联合国大厦的有关情况,告诉大明它位于纽约市,致力于世界和平的维护,很多国家都加入联合国,中国式其中的常任理事国之一。

  教学目标:

  1.能够在问题的提示下,自己阅读短文并理解短文大体内容。

  2.能够掌握本节课的四会单词:peace,world,please,以及一个三会单词important. 能够使用句型Do you want to visit……?Yes,please.询问某人是否想去某地。并且能够运用图片或照片介绍自己去过的一个地方,能够运用本节课的功能句型在小组内进行调查,调查同学们愿意去那个地方,并能够用自己的语言表述。

  3.文化意识渗透上,能够了解有关联合国的一些主要知识,能在学习完本节课的知识后用简单的语言介绍联合国,培养民族自豪感和梳理维护世界和平的信心。

  教学重点:

  1.能够在图片、问题的提示下,自己阅读并理解本篇对话的大致内容。

  2.能够使用重点句Do you want to visit……?Yes, please.询问某人是否想去某地。

  教学难点:

  能够了解有关联合国的一些主要知识,并且能够用英语简单介绍联合国的相关知识。

  教学过程:

  一、Warming up.

  1. Talk about the festival.(因为第二天就是Thanksgiving Day,因此给学生展示的ppt背景是南瓜的图片,让学生猜第二天是什么节日。T:When is Thanksgiving Day? What’s festival tomorrow ?)

  2. Talk about the weather.(T: What’s the weather like today? Ss: It’s very cold. Ppt shows two pictures. T: So we should wear warm clothes and do exercises to keep us healthy.)

  3. T: Stop for talking. Today we’ll learn Module9 Unit1 Do you want to visit the UN building? (Show the UN building)

  4. Enjoy a song. “Children from China are Chinese.”

  Ask Ss the meaning of the last sentences in the song—

  Children of the world are all like one.

  二、Presentation.

  1. Show the picture. T: Who are they? Where are they?(Ss:They are in NewYork. They are in the UN building.)Watch the video, then answer. ·What’s the UN building like? It’s very ____ and very ____. Why are there so many flags?

  2. About the UN.What does the UN want? It wants to make peace in the world.(介绍橄榄枝、联合国徽章的意义)

  3. 课外视频拓展。

  Watch the video, then answer. ·There are five countries in the UN.They are ____, ____, ____, ____ and ____.(通过网络视频,帮助学生理解China is one of the first countries in the UN.中国是联合国五个常任理事国之一。)

  T: As a Chinese, Do you want to visit the UN building? Yes,please. 教师板书重点句。

  4. Listen and repeat.

  5. Read the text by yourself. When you read, find and circle “want to…”。

  三、Practise.

  1.Activity Book.

  2.Student’s Book

  3 操练句型Do you want to visit……? Yes, please.

  四、Summary.

  1. T:What have you learnt today?

  Ss read the words and sentences together.

  2. Check. Activity Book. Listen and write.

  五、 Homework.

  1. Read the dialogue, and try to imitate.

  2. Do a survey.
