4.Sentences: Daming is having a birthday party.
Daming is playing the trumpet,but the phone is ringing.

a tape-recorder / word cards/trumpet
教具准备: tape recorder, pictures.
教学过程:
Warming—up
1. Greeting (问候之后,说明今天的评价机制)
2. Play a guessing game.
(设计意图:Guessing game是一种容易激起学生兴趣和好奇心,吸引学生注意力的活动。因此新课伊始,我通过这种游戏形式把学生的注意力迅速吸引到英语课堂中,并复习了将在本课出现的一些动词以及进行时的句子,为后面的学习和运用作好铺垫。)
Presentation and Drilling
1. Learn the new word “trumpet”.
1)T: (Draw a circle on the blackboard.)What am I doing?
S: You’re drawing.
T:(Go on drawing.) What am I drawing? Please guess.
S: You’re drawing a flower/glasses/…
T:(Finish drawing)Look, I’m drawing a trumpet. (出示图片和词卡)
(设计意图:通过边画边猜,设置悬念引出新词,培养了学生的想象力,并把学生的注意力吸引到新知的学习中)
2)Learn to read “trumpet”(Group by group)
3)Help students memorize the word.
(设计意图:六年级学生应该掌握一定的词汇记忆策略,在课堂上同学之间交流如何记忆所学新词,不失为一种互助学习的好方式)
