教学过程:
一、Class Opening and Review:
1. The teacher draws a calendar and asks the students 鈥淲hat鈥檚 the date ?鈥漧ead the students say 鈥淚t鈥檚 December 25th .It鈥檚 Christmas Day.鈥
2. Show Santa and say 鈥淢erry Christmas 鈥渢o the students.

Demonstrate:
1. The teacher shows a box of a toy to the students and tell them that it鈥檚 a gift from Santa .
2. The teacher stand in front of a volunteer and says 鈥淪anta brings gift for you .鈥漺ith the gesture .鈥滻 give you the gift.Please open it 鈥
3. When the volunteer open the gift .The teacher asks 鈥淲hat is it ?鈥漈he volunteer answers 鈥淚t鈥檚 a teddy bear .鈥漈he teacher repeats 鈥淚t鈥檚 a teddy bear .It鈥檚 a toy.鈥(write 鈥渢oy 鈥渙n the blackboard )
4. The teacher asks another volunteer and does this dialogue again .Then write 鈥渂ring, give, open鈥 on the blackboard .And ask the students to read the words a few times .Introduce the pronounciation of the words .eg. give, open
Practise:
1.Ask some volunteers to do the same practice with the help on the blackboard . The game is 鈥済ift giving 鈥.
2.The teacher asks a volunteer to picks up a gift under the Christmas tree and do the practice with other volunteers. We can do this practice three groups .
Play the audiotape
The teacher tells the students tha today ,Santa bring gifts for Jenny Li Ming Danny and so on .Let鈥檚 listen .What are the gifts ?What鈥檚 the gift from Li Ming to Smith family?

Play the text in role.

Homework
Make up a dialogue about opening gifts on festivals.
