  教学过程:

  Step1 Everyday English and greetings

  Sing a song: How are you?

  Free talk:

  How are you?

  What鈥檚 the weather like today? / How鈥檚 the weather?

  What鈥檚 this? Point the thing in the classroom which they have learnt and ask.

  Step2 Presentation

  Teach word: ruler.

  T shows the ruler and asks: What鈥檚 this? Help Ss to say the words.

  Game: Litter train, go go go.

  T puts the ruler away and asks: What鈥檚 that? T answers and says: It鈥檚 a ruler.

  T: Show me your ruler.

  Ss: My ruler. T invites Ss to say it one by one.

  Teach: that

  T points to different things with saying: This/ That. Help Ss understand the meaning of these two words.

  T corrects the pronunciations of two words.

  T asks 鈥渨hat鈥檚 this?鈥 鈥淲hat鈥檚 that?鈥 Ss answered: It鈥檚 a鈥

  T requires Ss to ask: What鈥檚 this? What鈥檚 that?

  T and other Ss answer.

  Teach: rubber.

  T points to something far away and let Ss guess what T is pointing to.

  Ss learn to say the word: rubber.

  What鈥檚 the difference between ruler and rubber?

  How to remember these two words?

  Read two words for time.

  T says the words and Ss show the pictures of the words.

  Teach: crayon, pen.

  T: We often made mistakes when we鈥檙e writing or drawing, rubbers can clear them. But sometimes, rubbers are useless. For example, please.

  Teach how to read the word: crayon.

  Let Ss practice.

  Litter train.

  T takes out a pencil and asks: What鈥檚 this? T writes the word on the blackboard. And then T changes the word into pen.

  Ss read the word by themselves.

  Play the game: Hide and seek.

  T hides the words card to the place of one people, and Ss use the sound to give the seeker hint. When the seeker near the word, Ss speak loudly, when the seeker far from the word, Ss speak lowly.

  Step 3 Practise

  Ask and answer: What鈥檚 this? What鈥檚 that?

  Point and read or read and show.

  Game: I read loudly, and you read lowly.

  Step4 Consolidation

  Help Ss review the meaning of 鈥渕y鈥︹ T takes one ruler of one S and asks: What鈥檚 this? Is this your ruler? Is this my ruler?

  T takes some rulers, rubbers, crayons and pens. Let Ss recognize their own things and say: That鈥檚 my鈥 and take them back.

  Read the words after the tape recorder.

  Step 5 Homework

  In this class, the stationary words: ruler/rubber/crayon are a little difficult. Ss always confused the two words begin with letter 鈥渞鈥 The reading of 鈥渃rayon鈥 is hard for some of them. I should give more time to practice these 4 words. Ss can distinguish near and far. And know the difference between 鈥渢his鈥 and 鈥渢hat鈥 But when they talking about the thing. They are used to say 鈥渢his鈥
